Northbrook Snow Plow Naming Contest Winner Announced

The social media contest, which began Thursday, was conducted by the Village of Northbrook.

NORTHBROOK, IL — As snowy conditions persist, the Northbrook Public Works Department will have the assistance of "Plowly McPlowface" to keep local roads clear. The name was chosen as the winner of the Village's Snow Plow Naming Contest, according to a Tuesday announcement.

The social media contest, which began Thursday, ran through Monday afternoon. Suggested names were submitted by residents in the "fun and lighthearted" contest.

"Plowly McPlowface" received 31 votes (likes on Facebook). Officials said the runner-up was "Salter Payton," receiving 24 votes. Other names suggested by residents included: "6-snow-snow-6-2," "Snow Force One," and "Darth Blader."
