Shirlee Stern nee Romanz, age 88. Beloved wife and best friend of Jerome H. Stern. Daughter of Paul and Dora (Feldman) Romanz. Loving mother of Caryn (Bruce) Wolf, Terri Merar, Russell (Susan) Stern and Glenn (Lourdes) Stern. Dear sister of Marshall (Elayne) Romanz and Sharon Romanz (the late Irv) Kaufman. Dear sister-in-law of Joyce (Dr. Donald) Stern Greenberg. Proud Gramalee of Paul (Lisa) Wolf, Bradley Wolf, Julie (Brad) Ganas, Daniel Wolf (Dana Hobson), Sophie (Menashe) Gold, Jeffrey (Jessica) Merar, Michael (Alissa) Merar, Valerie Merar, and Veronica (Tom) Foster, Jonathan and Gabriella. Cherished great-grandmother of Noah, Tristan, Ethan, Penelope, Ezra, Caleb, Liam, Aria, Hayden, Hudson, Oliver, Leo, Sienna, Isabelle, Triton and Griffin. Shirlee traveled the world happily with her husband and best friend, Jerry. Her children made her proud and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews warmed her heart. She was a talented artist, having several shows, played violin in the Skokie Valley Orchestra for 30 years, served on the Skokie Fine Arts Commission, and devoted time to JUF, Hadassah, ORT, and Israel.
