The Cook County Treasurer’s Office is reaching out to residents to make them aware of possible overpayment refunds available to them and how to apply. There is $85 million available in Cook County property tax overpayment refunds going back 20 years. There is also another $37 million in possible missing property tax exemptions going back 4 years.
