  • Paper-padded envelope mailer: Recycle through your regular curbside recycling.
  • Bubble-lined plastic bag: Because of the bubble lining, these are not accepted in the plastic bag recycling collection behind Village Hall; excessive contamination will result in the discontinuation of the program. Instead, you may recycle through Trex plastic recycling, which has a wider range of accepted plastic items. Mariano's in Northbrook offers Trex plastic collection service at their storefront.
  • Packing paper: Recycle through your regular curbside recycling.
  • Air pillow: Cut and bring to Northbrook Village Hall’s back entrance or Mariano's storefront collection.
  • Cardboard box: Deconstruct and recycle through your regular curbside recycling.
  • Plastic bag mailers: Plastic bag mailers are made using a shiny coating for moisture resistance. For this reason, they are different from regular plastic bags, like grocery bags, and are not accepted in the plastic bag recycling collection behind Village Hall; excessive contamination will result in the discontinuation of the program. Instead, you may recycle these through Trex plastic recycling. Mariano's in Northbrook offers this collection service at their storefront.
  • Bubble-lined paper mailer: Mixed materials such as this are not recyclable. Dispose in the trash through your regular curbside collection.
