Village Of Northbrook: Precautionary Water Boil Order In Effect For Some

Officials said a loss of pressure within its water distribution system was due to a construction project on Dundee Road.

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, the Village of Northbrook experienced a loss of pressure within its water distribution system. This loss of pressure was due to a construction project on Dundee Road. Pressure has been restored to the system; however, a Precautionary Boil Order has been put into effect from now until at least Thursday, May 16, 2024. Customers receiving this notice should boil water for culinary and drinking purposes for at least 5 minutes. Water is safe for all non-consumption uses. Additional information, including the end of the boil order, will be distributed via the Village’s website (www.northbrook.il.us), social media accounts, and Northbrook Notify as it becomes available.
