The Stan’s Donut 5k and Kids Dash — now in its eighth year — returns to Soldier Field in Chicago on Saturday, July 27. This family-friendly event is sponsored by the iconic Stan’s Donuts and produced by Chicagoland-based Adrenaline Special Events (ASE). Proceeds from the event will benefit non profit Cal’s Angels.

The 10k race begins at 7 a.m. The 5k starts at 8 a.m. and the Kids Dash kicks off at 9:45 a.m.

Sprint your sprinkles off as you wind through Museum Campus and grab coffee and a donut (or two, or three) at stations along the 5k course on Chicago’s beautiful lakefront. Registration for participants includes a dri-fit shirt, a customized finisher medal and a race bib.

The Stan’s Donut race is available virtually for those not able to attend in-person. The virtual run offers participants the choice of entering a kids dash, 5k, 10k, half marathon, and/or marathon. Upon registration, participants will have the shirt, medal, donut certificate, and any other goodies shipped to their door. They can then run (or walk) the distance they choose at any location of their preference. It is highly recommended that participants finish the race at a Stan’s Donut location to enjoy their tasty free donut and coffee!

“Hosting a donut-themed race is not just about crossing the finish line. It's about indulging in the sweet journey of personal accomplishments,” said ASE Founder Aaron Del Mar. "Individuals of all athletic levels and ages are welcome to participate in this event and support the great work Cal’s Angels is doing in our community.”

Event proceeds will benefit nonprofit Cal's Angels, which provides a range of support for families who have a child fighting cancer. The organization has donated more than $1 million to local hospitals and distributed more than 125,000 toys through its “Grant a Wish” program.

Donut wait for tomorrow! Register now to take advantage of early bird specials that are $10-to-$15 off the race-day price depending on the chosen race. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities also are available.
