$1M Mega Millions Ticket Sold In IL

An Illinois Lottery player is $1 million richer.

ROCKFORD, IL — One Illinois Lottery player became $1 million richer overnight after purchasing a winning Mega Millions ticket in Rockford.

The $1 million ticket was bought at Casey’s in the 5900 block of Columbia Parkway and matched Friday’s five winning numbers of 2, 14, 33, 58 and 65, according to the Illinois Lottery. Casey’s will receive a 1 percent selling bonus of $10,000.

Two other players, in California and New Jersey, also won $1 million each in Friday’s drawing.

Mega Millions tickets are $2, and players can add the Megaplier for $1 for the chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes. The next Mega Millions drawing will be 10 p.m. Tuesday. The jackpot is estimated to be $331 million.
