Rockford Earth Day concert April 22

Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Rockford, will host an Earth Day concert and sing along, Friday April 22 at 7pm

ROCKFORD IL - Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 920 Third Avenue, will host an Earth Day concert and sing along tribute to musician, folklorist and environmental activist Pete Seeger on Friday, April 22 at 7:00 pm. The event will feature performances by Trinadora Duo, Rockford Poet Laureate Christine Swanberg and Chicago’s official troubadour Mark Dvorak.

The event is sponsored by Oak Street Health.

Rockford’s own Trinadora Duo is multi-instrumentalists Ron Holm of Loves Park and Janel Nelson. Trinadora performs one hundred and fifty shows each year and has a repertoire of over five hundred songs.

Dvorak is Chicago’s “official troubadour,” songwriter, author, and banjo picker. He has given performances across the country and in parts of Europe and Canada. Dvorak is busy at work on his 20th CD release Live & Alone and his fourth collection of essays, 31 Winters.

There is no admission charge to the concert but a free will donation will be accepted. A $10 donation is suggested. Light refreshments provided by Emmanuel Lutheran will be available. Free off-street parking is also available.
