Amazon HQ2: Indianapolis Ranked 10 For Housing, Quality Of Life

ATTOM Data Solutions, which analyzes numbers about housing trends, ranked Indianapolis' overall real estate No. 10 among the finalists.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Indianapolis makes the top ten when it comes to real estate rankings among the finalists for Amazon's second headquarters. ATTOM Data Solutions, which analyzes numbers about the housing market, ranked Indianapolis' real estate number 10 among the finalists, beating out Chicago, New York, Miami, Boston and more for the top 10 spot.

Indianapolis had the cheapest housing prices and the 3rd lowest five-year home price appreciation percentage, the study found.

The Amazon project could eventually bring as many as 50,000 jobs to the area, as well as a higher demand for more housing.

    • Rank: 7th lowest

Amazon considered more than 200 proposals from various countries before announcing the Circle City as a finalist in February.
