Closures of five Indiana Carson's stores will cost more than 300 employees their jobs: Report

ACROSS INDIANA -- Wisconsin-based Bon-Ton Stores Inc. says the recently announced planned closure of five Indiana Carson's stores will leave more than 300 workers without a job, Indianapolis Business Journal reports. State officials were notified Monday that the Indiana store closures announced last week will cost 306 employees their jobs, IBJ says.

Months after announcing that at least 40 locations will close this year throughout the nation, parent company Bon-Ton Inc. released a list on Jan. 31 of the Carson's and Bergner's locations set to close in the next few months, including Carson's stores at Circle Centre Mall in Indianapolis, Mounds Mall in Anderson, Fair Oaks Mall in Columbus, Concord Mall in Elkhart and Five Points Mall in Marion.
