Indianapolis Mall To Undergo Multi-Million Dollar Renovation

Multi-million dollar renovation planned for Circle Centre Mall in downtown Indianapolis: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The struggling Circle Centre shopping mall in downtown Indianapolis will soon go under a multi-million dollar renovation, AP News reports. According to the news report, the mall's owner says the project includes improved entrances, an overhaul of the third-floor food court, remodeled bathrooms, floor, lighting and elevators. The project was announced by Circle Centre Partnership, which includes the mall's manager Simon Property Group and other businesses throughout Indianapolis that own the mall, AP News says.

The 23-year-old mall will soon lose its last largest retail store, Carson's, which is set to to close following the 2011 departure of Nordstrom and several other smaller shops, however the mall's manager says new uses for the Carson's space are being considered.
