ZIONSVILLE, IN — Little League International has chosen Zionsville for the home of the organization's new Central Region headquarters, according to Indiana Business Journal. IBJ reports Little League International made the announcement Friday, which included plans to design and build the new headquarters on the southwest corner of Whitestown Road and South 875 E. The facility, which will include a championship stadium, is expected to open in 2019, according to IBJ.

The decision was made during the Little League International Board of Directors annual meeting Friday in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

According to IBJ the league received more than 70 proposals earlier this year after announcing in Oct. 2016 the decision to relocate its Central Region headquarters from the northeast side of Indianapolis.
