Skilled Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

A Plus Home Care Services are seeking passionate, experienced and skilled care providers to care for elderly adults in the privacy of their own homes in the Des Moines metro area.

We are seeking skilled caregivers that have the flexibility to work day, evening, and overnight shifts, along with weekends. Full time and part time hours available.

Job entails personal care, companionship, light homemaking, and completion of skilled nursing tasks. 

Skilled caregivers with 2 or more years of experience may qualify for a $300 sign on bonus. Starting pay ranges from $13.00 - $16.00 per hour dependent upon work history experience and education.  Weekend pay is $1.00 per hour more than weekday shifts.

Requirements:

Skilled Care provider, HHA, Certified Nursing Assistant designation or related work history experience/education. Prefer care providers have a minimum of 2+ years work experience. Must have a VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE, RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION and PROOF OF AUTO INSURANCE. Caregivers must possess excellent interpersonal and written skills, with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and adapt to changes in daily tasks when necessary. A strong customer service aptitude with high attention to detail required. Must be an active listener and professional in appearance and demeanor. Needs to demonstrate integrity with patience and with compassion. Must be able to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Excellent recordkeeping and documentation skills required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all required documentation. Must be able to speak effectively with clients. Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee business operations. Other physical requirements such as: seeing and hearing; reading documents and computer screen, answering phone, communicating in person, sitting, standing and walking, reaching and bending, climbing, kneeling, crawling, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity includes utilizing phone, typing and writing.
