General Maintenance Worker Ay E.S. Muskie Federal Building

The General maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skills and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, switches, fixtures, and changing light bulbs; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors; steps; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery 

Worker will conduct machinery inspections, fill out operating logs and respond to tenants request for service.

This is a part time position, general 5 to 6 hours , Monday through Friday.

Must be able to pass security clearance.
