2 HCPS Educators Named P.E. Teachers Of The Year By SHAPE Maryland

Two P.E. teachers with Harford County Public Schools have been named teachers of the year by SHAPE Maryland.

David Jones, a physical education teacher at Havre de Grace High School, and Stacey Sewell, also a physical education teacher at Forest Hill Elementary School, will be formally recognized at the SHAPE Maryland Awards Ceremony Oct. 26 at 6 p.m.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Two Harford County Public Schools educators have been chosen as award recipients.

David Jones, a physical education teacher at Havre de Grace High School, has been recognized as the 2024 High School Physical Education Teacher of the Year. Stacey Sewell, also a physical education teacher at Forest Hill Elementary School, has been recognized as the 2024 Elementary School Physical Education Teacher of the Year. Both honors were given by SHAPE Maryland.

Jones and Sewell will be formally recognized at the SHAPE Maryland Awards Ceremony Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel in Towson.
