According to Maryland State Police, the crash happened shortly before 3:15 a.m. on July 6 on northbound Route 4 and Presidential Parkway near Dower House Road in Upper Marlboro.

Isaiah Hazel, 23, and Anthony Lytton Jr., 24, both of Upper Marlboro, also died in the crash. The three men were traveling in a Dodge Charger when it was struck by a silver Infiniti. The driver of the Infiniti was speeding when she attempted to change lanes and hit the Charger, police previously said.

Following the collision, the Charger traveled off the road and struck multiple tree stumps before stopping, police said.

Jackson was selected by the Vikings in the fourth round of the 2024 draft and was considered a contender to start at cornerback. He played his final season of college football at Oregon.

Hazel played at Maryland and Charlotte, while Lytton played at Florida State and Penn State, according to ESPN.
