Legends by Lantern at world’s oldest continuously operating airfield this Saturday, October 28

Guided tours by hayride and lamplight at the world's oldest continuously operating airfield!

Find out what happened to Corporal Frank Scott and experience the world’s oldest continuously operating airfield by lamplight while hearing tales of the past at the College Park Aviation Museum’s new program: Legends by Lantern! The public is encouraged to wear their costumes to this event that includes guided tours and hayrides, which are offered on the half hour beginning at 7:00 pm through 8:30 pm. The last tour at 8:30 pm is extra spooky and is for Adults (21 and over) only. After their tour, participants are invited to enjoy hot cider and a fun Fall activity in the museum. Director’s choice costume awards will be given each hour! Legends by Lantern is $8/person and includes museum admission and the gift shop will be open. The College Park Aviation Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliations member, is owned and operated by The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) which also owns the College Park Airport, the oldest continuously operating airport in the world. The museum is open daily from 10 am – 5 pm; admission is $5/adults; $4/seniors (60 or better); $2/children (2 – 18) and under 2 are free.
