Armed, Dangerous Man Wanted For Murder In Kentucky Arrested In Ellicott City: MD Police

A man considered armed and dangerous was arrested in Ellicott City in connection to a murder in Kentucky, according to MD State Police.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A man considered armed and dangerous who was wanted for the murder of a woman in Louisville, Kentucky, was apprehended by Maryland State Police in Ellicott City.

Louisville Metro police officers were called to the 6400 block of Kenjoy Drive in the Southland Park neighborhood on Monday for a welfare check on a woman. They didn't make contact with the woman and returned the next day. Following that check, a missing person report was filed. On Tuesday, detectives from LMPD's Missing Person Unit were investigating when they found a woman dead inside the home with a gunshot wound, according to WLKY. A murder warrant for Tho Luong, 41, of Louisville was issued after the woman was found dead.

At 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Luong and his vehicle, a 2011 black BMW, were spied parked at a motel in the 8000 block of Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City. Maryland state troopers helped detectives from the Louisville Metro Police Department in arresting Luong. He was taken into police custody without incident and crime scene technicians processed the scene, including his vehicle, for evidence.

Luong will be held at the Howard County Detention Center while he awaits extradition to Kentucky.
