Deadly Domestic Assault Victim, Suspect Identified: Howard County Police

The victim in a deadly domestic assault incident and the suspect who was killed in a pedestrian-vehicle collision, have been identified.

Investigators believe the man who was fatally hit by a vehicle first assaulted the woman at his residence before running into the travel lanes of Route 29 on foot and was hit by a vehicle, according to the Howard County Police Department.

LAUREL, MD — The individuals involved in a deadly domestic assault and subsequent pedestrian-vehicle collision have been identified by police.

Sunday around 7 p.m., Howard County police officers were called to the 11200 block of Chaucers Ridge Court for a domestic assault involving two adults. They found a woman who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Howard County Police. That woman has been identified by police as Eunice Chung, 29.

Minutes later, police were called to northbound Route 29 in the area of Old Columbia Road for a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. They found a man in the road who was pronounced dead at the scene. The involved driver was uninjured and remained at the scene, the police department stated. The man fatally hit has been identified by police as James Robert Holley, 26.
