HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Community input is being sought as Howard County officials prepare to submit the annual priority letter to the Maryland Department of Transportation. The priority letter recommends the county’s prioritized transportation projects for MDOT’s fiscal year 2022-2027 consolidated transportation program. The deadline to submit public comment and input is by 5 p.m. March 3.

"Increasing safe, reliable and accessible infrastructure is a priority as we work towards a more multi-modal society, so our residents can spend less valuable time in their car," Howard County Executive Calvin Ball said. "There are many projects to pursue, and we're seeking input so there is a collaborative and transparent process with our residents, county council and state legislative delegation to help create the best transportation experience for everyone in Howard County.”

Residents can find information about this year’s priority letter, projects, copies of previous priority letters and more online and submit their comments and input to David Cookson with the office of transportation by email to [email protected] or by mail to Howard County Office of Transportation, c/o David Cookson, 3430 Court House Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21043.
