HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 27-year-old Halethorpe man was killed Friday in Jessup. Alberto Oscar Rivera-Lopez was driving a 2008 Toyota Scion northbound on Dorsey Run Road near Patuxent Range Road when it crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado.The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to Howard County General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing. A section of Dorsey Run Road was closed for approximately four hours.
