COLUMBIA, MD — A Howard County construction project to install a water main near 5247 Brook Way in the Village of Wilde Lake in Columbia will begin Monday. The project will include the installation of approximately 50 linear feet of 16-inch diameter PVC plastic water main to provide redundancy to the county’s water distribution system and create a connection to the transmission main that runs within or adjacent to US 29.

Most of the work will take place within a wooded area between Brook Way and Little Patuxent Parkway. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by mid-September 2020.
The project is not expected to impact the flow of traffic; however, signs will be posted in the project area to advise pedestrians of the construction.
