Tractor-Trailer Crash Shuts Down Portion Of Interstate 95 South

A tractor-trailer crash that resulted in cargo scattered across I-95 South prompted the temporary closure of several lanes of traffic.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 95 South in Howard County late Tuesday caused the closure of several traffic lanes and an extensive traffic jam.

Two right lanes on I-95 South just past Exit 38A near Maryland Route 32 Patuxet Parkway were temporarily closed for hours as crews worked to clean up the debris from the crash, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.

WJLA's SkyTrak7 flew over the scene where images of a tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder of the road could be seen with debris scattered across the roadway. The backend of the semi's trailer could be seen torn and twisted. No injuries were reported.
