HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A construction project designed to improve a failed storm drain system near 10102 and 10106 Hyla Brook Road in the Village of Wilde Lake in Columbia could impact area traffic.

The project should begin Monday and, weather permitting, will end by early June 2022. The project will include the installation of a larger, reinforced concrete pipe to tie in with an existing inlet.

Although the project is not expected to affect the general flow of traffic, lane shifts can be expected as the pipe construction crosses the roadway. The sidewalk within the project zone will be closed to pedestrians for a portion of the project. Signs will be posted in the area to alert motorists and pedestrians of the construction.
