HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A construction project to upgrade the water main along northbound Marriottsville Road between Albeth Road and both I-70 eastbound ramps should begin Monday and won't be completed until April.

Flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic as needed and signs will be posted to alert residents and drivers of the construction, because occasional lane shifts are to be expected during construction hours, which will be weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 12-inch water main will be replaced with 16-inch water main to enhance the flow and reliability of the water supply and improve available fire protection resources, the county said.
