EDGEWATER, MD — Timothy "Alex" Watson Jr., of Edgewater, MD, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at his home. Born on April 1, 1992 in Columbia, MD, to Roberta and Timothy A. Watson, Sr., Alex was a Boy Scout in Troop 758 and rose to the rank of Eagle Scout. He continued his service for many years after that.

Alex began his career as an ironworker shortly after graduation from South River High School in 2010. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 5 and he was passionate about his profession. Alex was a caring, always smiling, fun-loving person who would do anything for others.

In addition to his parents, Alex is survived by his sister, Julia Watson. He was also loved very much by his extended family in Buffalo, NY, Pittsburgh, PA and Clearwater, FL. Alex had many friends that always surrounded him and he cherished every single friendship he had over the years.

Friends are invited to celebrate Alex's life on Saturday, January 28, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 236, Edgewater, MD 21037 in memory of Alex.
