Authorities said they told the man to leave, but he again refused.

The suspect started struggling with police as they tried to escort him out of the building. This caused the suspect and one of the officers to fall to the floor, authorities said.

Police said the suspect then placed the officer in a chokehold.

Authorities said the officer disengaged the suspect and withdrew his taser, causing the accused man to comply.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said it charged the suspect accordingly.

Authorities said the officer suffered a minor injury to an extremity and was treated at an unidentified hospital.
