Flags To Be Placed At Graves Of Anne Arundel Veterans For Memorial Day

Edgewater's American Legion will lay flags at the graves of Anne Arundel County veterans for Memorial Day.

EDGEWATER, MD β€” The Edgewater American Legion will place flags at the graves of Anne Arundel County veterans. This will honor the late residents ahead of Memorial Day, which is on Monday, May 30.

American Legion Cummings-Behlke Post 226 asked members to sign up by Sunday, May 22. The registration sheet is posted in The Legion next to the mailboxes.

Volunteers will pick up the flags on Saturday, May 28 at 8 a.m. A breakfast will follow.

The team will lay the flags at nearly 30 cemeteries from Edgewater and Davidsonville to Shady Side and Galesville.

South River High School, the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts will also help out.
