Frederick Boswell Goodson Sr., 70, of Edgewater: Obituary

EDGEWATER, MD — Frederick Boswell Goodson, Sr. "Fred", 70, a resident of Edgewater, MD, died of lung cancer on Saturday, December 17. Born on April 2, 1946 in Marietta, GA, Fred was a member of the first graduating class of Walt Whitman High School of Washington, DC, in 1964. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and later had a career as a sales and finance manager.

Most recently, he enjoyed tending to the horses on Stengaarden Farm. Fred was a member of Thawleys Chapel United Methodist Church in Ridgely, MD and he liked horses, basketball, playing pool and motorcycle rides. Go Skins! HTTR!

He is survived by his children, Frederick (Kristin) Goodson, Jr. of Edgewater, MD, Noel (Steve) Bonney of Naples, FL, April (Kyle) Gray of Edgewater, MD, Kaitlyn (Nick) Crymes of Macomb, MI and Kimberly Goodson of Edgewater, MD; his brother, Richard (Rose) Goodson of Panama Beach, FL; his sister, Denise Goodson of Point of Rocks, MD and his grandchildren, Tyler, Trent and Tayah Bonney all of Naples, FL, Nixon and Zoey Crymes of Macomb, MI and Jenna and Peyton Blevins of Edgewater, MD.

Friends are invited to celebrate Fred's life on Wednesday, December 21, from 3 pm until his funeral service begins at 5 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037.
