Judy Bober Hamilton, 76, of Riva: Obituary

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — Judy Bober Hamilton, 76, a 45-year resident of Riva passed away at her home on Monday, February 20, 2017, due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease.

Judy was born on December 31, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Alphonse and Aunda Bober. She was a graduate of Madison County High School in Virginia, where she earned a business scholarship. Judy worked as a bookkeeper, and retired from Nationwide Insurance. She then worked for 12 years at JoAnn’s Fabric to support her hobbies.

Judy loved to be at the beach and spend time with family and friends. She was an avid quilter and knitter. Family members received the benefits of her labors, which are proudly displayed in their homes.

Judy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Travis Lee Hamilton, her children; Gregory Hamilton of Davidsonville, MD, Kelly Grable of Rodanthe, NC, Tina Hamilton of Hightstown, NJ and Laura Hamilton-Custer, of Columbia, MD, her siblings Michael Bober and AundaCoppa, both of Orange, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jeffrey and Whitney Hamilton, both of Davidsonville, MD and Damian Grable of Rodanthe, NC.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judy’s life on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 11am to 1pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
