Learn How To Raise The Air Plant Tillandsia At Homestead Gardens

EDGEWATER, MD — With their intriguing appearance, air plants often are incorporated into crafts and other projects. But how much care do they need? Experts with Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville will host a workshop highlighting how to care for these plants Feb. 1 at 11 a.m.

Care, maintenance, lifespan, natural origin and cultural needs will be discussed. Education coordinator Heather Wheatley will educate participants on the Tillandsia plant, which grows differently than most other houseplants, so they can be confusing to raise.
