Local Mom An 'Angel On Earth' To Family, Friends

EDGEWATER-DAVIDSONVILLE, MD— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your mom extra special?

It’s hard to put my mom into a few words! An angel on Earth is the closest I can come. She’s been there for my brother and me our entire lives. Six months ago, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The tumors were all over her. Her spine was literally fractured from a tumor. She could barely walk but she never stopped trying to help others and our family (not to mention our two large dogs.) She is doing well. She taught us that faith in God’s divine healing can turn into a miracle. Our family and friends say she’s a true inspiration to all of us.

I love you, Mom. I’m so proud to be your daughter!

Why do you feel your mom deserves the spotlight?

She’s the strongest woman I’ve ever known!!
