New Dance Studio Celebrates Grand Opening In Anne Arundel County
A new dance studio recently celebrated its grand opening in Anne Arundel County. Here's a peek inside the growing business.
EDGEWATER, MD — Class Act Performing Arts recently celebrated the grand opening of its new dance studio in Edgewater.
The business has been around for several years, but it shared spaces with partner companies like Yogavibez and Soldierfit.
Class Act Performing Arts now has a studio all to itself. The dedicated children's dance studio is located in the Main Street at South River Colony shopping center. The address is 161 Mitchell's Chance Road.

The new location opened on Sept. 19.
"We couldn't have done it without an amazing team," Owner Lydia Teal said on Facebook. "You will forever be in my heart for helping to make my dream a reality!!"

Teal held her ribbon-cutting ceremony last Thursday.
The Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation gave Teal a congratulatory citation.
The Economic Development Corporation also cheered Teal for using a VOLT Fund loan to build out the studio. These loans are available to growing small businesses owned by women, veterans or people from racial minorities. The loans range from $25,000 to $500,000 each.
