Pedestrian, 74, Killed In Anne Arundel County Hit-And-Run Crash: Police
A 74-year-old woman was killed in a Lothian hit-and-run crash, authorities said. Police found the driver soon after.
LOTHIAN, MD — A 74-year-old pedestrian was killed recently in a Lothian hit-and-run crash, police said.
Officers identified the victim as Aubrey Lee Wallace of Owings.
Authorities said they were called to northbound Maryland Route 4 near Lower Pindell Road on July 17 around 11 p.m.

A passerby saw the victim lying in the roadway and called 911, police said.
Officers said they later learned that the pedestrian was walking in the travel lanes when a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu hit her and fled in an unknown direction.

Authorities don't know how long the victim was lying in the roadway before she was found.
The Calvert County Fire Department pronounced her dead at the scene, police said.
The Prince George's County Police Department found the striking sedan unoccupied soon after, a press release said.
The release said Prince George's County police also found the driver, whose name wasn't announced.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating.
Officers have not announced any charges or speculated on who was at fault.
