'She Is A Carbon Copy': Mother's Day Photos

EDGEWATER, MD — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Maryland to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are, they'll always be your babies!

Deborah Phillips of West River sent us a few photos of herself and her family. She calls her daughter Cassandra a "mini me," and we agree.

All three of us graduated from Elizabeth Seton High School and we were on the steps of the National Shrine in DC holding our matching tassels.

Cassandra and I work together so we spend a lot of time together. She is in every way my mini me. From her strength to her perseverance (and her looks) she is a carbon copy. Business associates and even our family can’t tell us apart on the phone and our mannerisms are so close most have to take a double take in person. We are often assumed to be sisters which I love and she of course hates! In all fairness my second doesn’t look like me at all but she sure does act like me!

I am truly blessed (proud mama of 2 boys and 2 girls) and I couldn’t be happier with how they’ve grown to be. I own a successful business, have navigated a successful marriage, graduated with not one but three degrees, however my greatest accomplishment is my kids, they are the best parts of my husband and I and we are truly proud of them.
