EDGEWATER-DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — Many government services change their hours around holidays. Here is what's open and closed in the Edgewater-Davidsonville area around Good Friday, which is this Friday, and Easter, which is this Sunday.

Passover started Wednesday and runs through Thursday, April 13.

Schools: Anne Arundel County Public Schools started spring break on Saturday, April 1. School offices and central offices will be closed starting Thursday, April 6. Classes resume Tuesday, April 11. The school calendar is available at this link.

Government Offices: Federal and State offices are open Friday. Anne Arundel County and City of Annapolis government offices are closed Friday. All government offices will be open Monday.

Courts: Courts will be open Friday and Monday. Court hours are listed here.

In Annapolis, the Pip Moyer Recreation Center will be open Friday for its normal schedule of 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., but it will be closed on Sunday. The Stanton Community Center will be open Friday, and it's also closed every Sunday. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center is open daily except on certain holidays like Easter.

The Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park is closed for the season. It will reopen in May.

Libraries: The Anne Arundel County Public Library will be open all weekend on its normal schedule. A full list of library hours and contact information is posted here.

Post Offices: Post offices will be open Friday, Saturday and Monday but closed Sunday.

Trash And Recycling: All landfills and recycling centers will be closed Friday. The county's curbside collection will continue on its normal schedule. A schedule of all Anne Arundel County trash and recycling operations is available here.

City of Annapolis trash and recycling pickup will also continue on its normal schedule. Anybody with questions about the city's trash removal should contact Annapolis Public Works at (410) 263-7949.

Buses: Annapolis Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule this Friday and Sunday. The Purple bus will run from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The State Shuttle will go from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit this website for more details.

These county buses will not run on Friday:

All county buses will follow their normal Sunday schedule on Easter Sunday. There are no changes there.
