Delicious news from the Girl Scouts of the USA: Three new cookies, two of them gluten-free, will be added to the buffet of snacks you can feel good about – by supporting Girl Scout cookie sales, after all, you’re investing in local girls’ futures.

It’s only appropriate, then, to show your enthusiasm than with a few boxes of Rah-Rah Raisins, made with whole grain oats, raisins and Greek yogurt-flavored chunks.

Rah-Rah Raisins cookies join two gluten-free options – Toffee-tastic and Trios – which were offered in a pilot program last year in response to increased demand for such products by the Girl Scout cookie-eating public. The program was successful, so the gluten-free options are now being offered nationally.

“Millions across the nation have made gluten-free diets a lifestyle change,”Kelly Parisi, chief communications executive, told USA Today in an email. “Girl Scouts recognizes there are people avoiding gluten for various reasons, and we wanted to assure that all customers could enjoy our delicious cookies.”

Toffee-tastic is a buttery cookie with toffee bits. Trios is made with real peanut butter, chocolate chips and whole grain oats. Not to worry – legendary classics like Thin Mints and Samoas/Caramel deLites will still be available.

When, Where and How to Find Girl Scout Cookies

The three new cookies will be available during the 98th annual campaign – a national holiday of sorts – that takes place from Feb. 27 through March 1.

Girl Scouts sell cookies at booths, door to door, and through Digital Cookie, the first national digital platform that allows girls to develop 21st-century technology skills by selling cookies through their own personalized websites or face-to-face using a mobile app.

To find Girl Scouts selling cookies near you, look here or use the newly enhanced official Girl Scout Cookie Finder app, free for iOS or Android phones or mobile devices.

One-hundred percent of the net revenue raised through cookie sales remains with local Scout councils. Girls decide how the money will be spent in their communities.
