13 DUI Arrests Made By MOCO Police Over St. Patrick's Day Weekend

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — More than 100 traffic tickets and 13 DUI arrests were made over the St. Patrick's Day weekend on a crackdown for impaired drivers, Montgomery County Police said Monday.

ficers from the Montgomery County Police Department and troopers from the Maryland State Police conducted 82 traffic stops. A police news release said the stop resulted in 129 traffic citations, 64 traffic warnings, 21 safety repair orders, one criminal arrest and 13 DUI arrests.

Those numbers include only arrests made by saturation patrol detail officers and do not include arrests made by patrol officers on duty. Therefore, the overall number of DUI arrests made by officers during this time period is higher, police said.
