ROCKVILLE, MD — A 25-year-old woman's decision to spend $10 on a Show Me $100,000 instant ticket from the Maryland Lottery put her one step closer to homeownership, according to a release.

Last Thursday, the woman and her husband visited lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim the $50,000 prize she won on the scratch-off ticket she had purchased at the 7-Eleven #34560A, which is located at 121 Kentlands Blvd. in Gaithersburg.

The woman told lottery officials that her husband broke into tears when she shared news of her win with him. They plan to use the $50,000 as a downpayment on a house.
