Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Figuro, Katie, Molly, Wasabi, Pancha

ROCKVILLE, MD — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at Montgomery County's adoption center. The facility houses dozens of cats, dogs, and other adorable critters. And all of them need a furever home.

Here, we've rounded up a list of five adoptable pets for a series called "Patch's Adoptable Pets of the Week." This week, we're featuring Figuro, Katie, Molly, Wasabi, and Pancha.

FIGURO

Name: *Figuro - ID#A444815
Sex, Breed: Neutered male, fawn American Pit Bull Terrier.
Age: Approx. 5 years old
Arrived at Shelter: I am currently in foster care. If you would like to meet me, please email my foster parent to schedule a meet and greet.

Shelter staff made the following comments about this animal: Figuro (A444815) is a 5-year-old Staffordshire/Boston Terrier (yes, really!) who is looking high and low for his forever family!

Figuro aka Fig has been living in a foster home for while, and has blossomed outside of the shelter. Fig's favorite thing seems to be food, food, and more food. He's a very enthusiastic and lively guy! Fig loves nice long walks, snacks and chew toys, and pets.

Before COVID-19 Fig has gone to adoption events at parks and malls, has successfully had play dates with other dogs (though he prefers to be the only pet at home!) and is a been-there-done-that kind of guy. He's has a pretty laidback attitude about all sorts of stuff like fireworks or thunder. His love of treats has also helped him shine with training and learning new skills and tricks.

Sadly, Fig just approached his 2-year shelter'iversary in November, and we're SO determined to find Figuro the perfect forever home!

Figuro's ideal home is somebody who is ready to let him be their one and only! He would also love to live in a home (not an apartment!) so that he can sing his songs all day and your neighbors won't be bothered! Let's #FindFigAFamily!

KATIE

Name: Katie - ID#A471745
Sex, Breed: Spayed female, brown tabby Domestic Shorthair.
Age: Approx. 13 years old.
Arrived at Shelter: Jan. 8, 2021.

Shelter staff made the following comments about this animal: You'd never guess it based on her wrinkle-free complexion, but yes, Katie is a senior girl! Beautiful Katie is 13-year-old and has the mature, laid back attitude to prove it. Katie loves attention and pets. Katie offers soft purrs in exchange for loving pets and scratches. She's not shy at all and really loves to meet new people.

Katie would prefer to be an only pet in her forever home.

Katie's adoption fee is 100% waived.
