Auto Theft, Burglary Charges Filed Against Gaithersburg Man: Police

ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Police arrested a 33-year-old Gaithersburg man in connection with the theft of a vehicle in Rockville, multiple burglaries, and thefts from vehicles.

Investigators determined that during the early morning hours of Dec. 13, 2023, a suspect stole a 2019 Toyota Rav4 from a residence in the 7300 block of Miller Fall Road in Rockville. Around 6 p.m., the victim called 9-1-1 after she was able to track her Rav4 to the 100 block of East Deer Park Drive in Gaithersburg.

Officers were dispatched to the scene. After talking to the victim, they located the suspect, whom they identified as Travis Jamal Isreal, and took him into custody.

When police searched the vehicle, the found evidence that connected Isreal to burglaries on Calabar Drive, Tulip Drive, Cottonwood Terrace and Washington Grove Lane. Investigators were also able to link him to the theft of items from the front porch of another victim’s home on Gaither Road.

Isreal was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was charged with multiple counts of burglary, auto theft, theft, resisting arrest and rogue and vagabond. He was then held without bond.

Gaithersburg Police also charged Isreal with burglary in connection to an incident that occurred at East Deer Park Drive.
