ROCKVILLE, MD — A Rockville couple is offering a reward to anyone who can help their missing blind tabby cat find his way back home.

Cobain has been missing since about 6 a.m., on April 13, from the couple's home in the Hardwood Flats Apartments on Nicholson Lane and Taft Court in North Bethesda, according to his owners Elizabeth Law and Vanessa Trevino.

The couple originally adopted Cobain after Law, who suffers from Sickle Cell Disease, was advised to adopt a pet as a means of therapy to help her through the severe bouts of pain she experiences, according to Trevino.

"When she went to look for a pet, Cobain was up for adoption as a small kitten," Trevino told Patch, in an email. "His eyes were already removed and he was doing his best to navigate. Elizabeth felt like Cobain was the perfect fit as they both have adversities."

"In particular, Cobain and Shiloh (a Schnauzer Poodle mix) are the best of friends and Shiloh has been missing his buddy since his disappearance," Trevino said.

Cobain is described as a neutered male tabby who is about 4-years-old, totally blind and friendly. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call Elizabeth Law at 206 702-1470 or Vanessa Trevino at 602 761-0748.

Montgomery County Community Cat Coalition (MC C³) is assisting in the couple's efforts in trying to locate Cobain.
