Collegiate Fencer From Rockville Signs Deodorant Endorsement Deal

Rockville native Edriss Ndiaye, who fences for Ohio State, lands deal to promote Degree Deodorant.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Edriss Ndiaye, who graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, signed a deal to become a member of Degree Deodorant’s Year 2 #BreakingLimits Team NIL program, according to a release.

A rising junior at Ohio State University, Ndiaye is a member of the school's fencing team, where he's a two-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

An NIL [name-image-likeness] deal allows college athletes to receive money in exchange for representing a business or endorsing its products on the athlete's social media.

On Tuesday, Ndiaye signed with Degree’s #BreakingLimits Team program, which is looking to help student athletes prepare for post-graduate life by offering NIL deals to students from underrepresented communities or colleges.

Ndiaye is one of 18 Year 2 Athletes that Degree has chosen from a variety of sports, geographies, abilities, and backgrounds. Their perseverance to break through their own limits serves as an inspiration to their peers and others, which is why they were chosen.

Degree is looking for more college athletes to join the #BreakingLimits Team. Athletes are encouraged to share their breaking limits story of adversity on Degree's Instagram account from Aug. 2-17. After reviewing entries, Degree will select those who will receive an offer to join the 2022- 2023 #BreakingLimits Team roster.
