Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your morning commute on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022.

Wind restrictions are in effect on US-50 in both directions at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, house trailers, empty box trailers or any vehicle that can't safely cross the bridge will be prohibited, according to WTOP Traffic.

On The Road

As of 7:23 a.m., a disabled vehicle is blocking the left lane of the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway/ I-495 after MD-193/University Boulevard, according to WTOP Traffic. [Silver Spring, MD]

As of 7:18 a.m., a crash was reported on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway South near the exit for US-50/New York Avenue, according to WTOP Traffic. [Cheverly, MD]

As of 7:17 a.m., two traffic lanes were getting by a crash on southbound I-395 at the 14th Street Bridge, according to WTOP Traffic. [Washington, DC]

As of 7:16 a.m., all traffic is stopped on inbound Canal Road, Northwest due to a crash and downed utility pole, according to WTOP Traffic.

As of 7:05 a.m., the three right-traffic lanes and right shoulder of MD-355 South from Grosvenor Lane to Alta Vista Road are closed, according to MDOT. [Bethesda, MD]

As of 7:05 a.m., the westbound-shoulder of MD 108 West between Middle Patuxent Court and Sheppard Lane are closed, according to MDOT. [Clarksville, MD]

As of 6:58 a.m., a collision was reported on the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway/I-495 prior to MD-97/George Avenue, according to MDOT. [Silver Spring, MD]

As of 6:54 a.m., a crash was reported on the northbound ramp of MD-210 to the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway/I-495, according to WTOP Traffic. [Oxon Hill, MD]

As of 6:50 a.m., the right side of the southbound ramp from I-270 to Shady Grove Road was blocked due to a crash, according to WTOP Traffic. [Gaithersburg, MD]

As of 6:41 a.m., a collision was reported on the Outer Loop of the Baltimore Beltway/I-695 at Wilkens Avenue, according to MDOT. [Arbutus, MD]

As of 6:13 a.m., the two southbound left-turn lanes, left shoulder, northbound-left shoulder, and two northbound-left traffic lanes are closed on US-301 in both directions at Mattawoman Beantown Road due to a two-vehicle collision, according to MDOT. [Waldorf, MD]

Ongoing Closures:

Westbound-right off-ramp from MD-725 West at John Rogers Boulevard is closed due to roadwork, according to MDOT. [Upper Marlboro, MD]

The northbound-left shoulder of I-95 North is closed from Weigh Station Access Road to Cherry Hill Road, according to MDOT. [Adelphi, MD]

Eastbound shoulder, traffic lane and center turn lane of MD-648 East between Kuethe Road and Governor Ritchie Highway are closed due to a utility problem, according to MDOT. [Glen Burnie, MD]

Mass Transit

As of 6 a.m., Light RailLink was experiencing delays of approximately 40 minutes in north and southbound service from Hunt Valley to Cromwell, including BWI Airport stations, according to MTA. [Baltimore, MD]

Due to bus operator availability, Metrobus riders may experience delays on the following routes: 59, 60, 63, and K9, according to Metro. [Washington, DC]

DC Weather

Light rain was reported across the Baltimore-Washington region around 7:4o a.m., on Monday, according to the National Weather Service. A chance of showers is expect Monday, with a high of 57 and a low tonight of 46 degrees.

The temperature at 7:50 a.m., in Rockville was 46 degrees under cloudy skies, according to the AccuWeather forecast. Expect periods of rain throughout the day, with a high of 52 and a low of 46.
