A new location of Celebree, an early childhood center and school, will open in Rockville. It will emphasize building strong foundations.

Janak and Keyuri Rajani will open a new location of Celebree, an early childhood school, in the late fall. “Janak and I believe highly in education and putting the seeds down when they’re young, so you will always have that foundation,” said Keyuri.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Parents who are returning to the office and need to find child care will have a new option soon, as child care center and school franchise Celebree gears up to open a new location in Rockville.

Celebree is a child-care and pre-school program that has locations in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania. It emphasizes its role in helping kids develop social skills and values, and caters to families with kids as young as six weeks and as old as 12 years.

Janak and Keyuri Rajani have been working on opening this location in Rockville since they signed their franchisee agreement last year, and started looking for a space.

“It's just nice to be in this community feel, so we're happy to be in this space,” said Keyuri at a groundbreaking event for the school this week. “And we're super excited, finally, to get this ball going.”

The school has a projected opening of fall 2021 — there’s still some red tape to cut through.

They decided to apply to open with Celebree because they felt the company matched the vibe they were looking for, and had the same values they did.

“We met lots of other people, and they were just so nice and so overwhelmingly pleasant to work with,” Keyuri said about meeting with Celebree. “We couldn't say no.”

Both of the Rajanis have been educators before, in a college setting, and are excited to take on a new venture in the world of early childhood education and care. Keyuri said that they were drawn to it because early childhood caretakers and educators have the role of planting the seed in young minds and helping them succeed early in life.

“Janak and I believe highly in education and putting the seeds down when they’re young, so you will always have that foundation,” she said.

The Rajanis have children of their own who were at the groundbreaking — they thanked their children for their patience over the past year as their parents embarked on their journey to open the school. Keyuri said that’s she learned a lot about her children about how their generation cares for others and the world around them. That’s something she wants to bring to the table at her Celebree location.

“We want to be able to help raise the next generation,” said Keyuri.
