Man Accused Of Raping Child In Rockville, Other Victims Possible: Police

Authorities believe there may be more victims connected to 33-year-old Eric Bacon, who faces a charge of first-degree rape.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A man is facing charges after Montgomery County police said he raped a child inside a Rockville apartment. Authorities also believed he may have also victimized others, police said.

Eric Bacon, 33, was arrested on April 26 and charged this week with burglary and first-degree rape of a minor, Montgomery County police said in a release.

According to police, Bacon entered the victim's Rockville apartment in the 15000 block of Frederick Road around 3 p.m. on April 24. Police said the victim arrived home to find Bacon in the apartment.

According to authorities, Bacon sexually assaulted the victim before leaving the apartment with an undisclosed amount of stolen property. The victim’s brother arrived home around 7 p.m. and told police he saw Bacon still outside their residence.

Bacon was taken into custody two days later in the 15900 block of Frederick Road by officers on routine patrol, police said.
