Maryland State Fair: When to Go, Tickets, Parking and Full Schedule of Events

From 4-H exhibits to live horse and pony races to meeting Baltimore Ravens greats, check out the fun planned at the 2015 fair.

Opening day of the Maryland State Fair is Friday, Aug. 28, but more than a week of fun from concerts to meet-and-greets with Baltimore Ravens players, along with horse racing and more are planned.

The Maryland State Fair is located at 2200 York Road in Lutherville-Timonium.

The entire fair will be open from Friday, Aug. 28 to Monday, Sept. 7.

Admission is $8 per person, $6 for senior citizens and $3 for children ages 6-11. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the fair.

Parking on the fairgrounds is $5 and free parking is available at the Park and Ride on Deereco Road on a first-come, first-served bases. The fair staff encourages the use of the light rail with a stop a the fairgrounds’ Cow Palace gate.

Highlights of the fair include fireworks Friday night, a 5K run on Aug. 29, and a concert series on the Racetrack Infield Stage. Tickets are on sale now at www.marylandstatefair.com.

Concerts:

  • Friday, September 4, 7:30 PM - R5 will perform. Bea Miller, recognized as Rolling Stone’s “10 Artists You Need To Know” is the opening act.
  • Saturday, September 5, 8 PM - Fifth Harmony, the all-female, five member group and winners of Radio Disney’s “2015 Best Music Group” award will perform.
  • Sunday, September 6 - Latino Music Festival at MY Maryland State Fair begins at 6:30 PM with Bachata Plus followed by 503 Nation at 7:20 PM, Alex Sensation at 8:10 PM and Baby Rasta & Gringo at 9 PM.

Ravens Week will be celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 2 through Friday, Sept. 4, from noon to 8 p.m. Look for appearances by Ravens cheerleaders and Ravens alumni at the North Gate and in Ravens Village.

Activities include: Ladies Learn the Ins and Outs of Football, Thursday, September 3, 6PM- 7 PM.; Baltimore Ravens Day at MY Maryland State Fair, Friday, September 4: Super Bowl Trophies on Display, Prize Giveaways throughout the day; Photo Session from 4 PM – 7 PM, followed by a Ravens Pep Rally.
