NORTH BETHESDA, MD — A recently opened North Bethesda restaurant landed on Eater D.C.'s list of hottest restaurants to try in June 2022 in the D.C. area.

Hello Betty is at Pike & Rose, with crab, fish and chips and other seafood dishes.

"Pretend you’re at a surfside crab boil (instead of in North Bethesda) at Hello Betty, which serves seafood feasts like blue crabs tossed in Old Bay vinegar with potatoes and corn on the cob," the Eater writers said. "The restaurant at the Canopy by Hilton in the Pike & Rose development is modeled after the original Hello Betty located in Oceanside, California."

Other eateries on Eater D.C.'s list are in Washington, D.C., Fall Church, VA and Arlington, VA. They include an American eatery, an Indian restaurant, a raw bar and more. The list only includes restaurants that have been open for six months or less, the Eater editors said.

The editors said the point of the list is to answer to long-running question often posed to them:
"Where should I eat right now?”
