Rockville College Students Recognized With Academic Honors

Patch highlights the academic achievements earned by Rockville students at their college or university.

ROCKVILLE, MD — To shine a light on the accomplished of college students from Rockville, Patch shares information provided by the students' families and Merit News.

Jake Roth and Maddie Goldstein of Rockville recently enrolled for the fall term as members of the Class of 2026 at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Andrew Brown, a health and exercise science major from Rockville, recently enrolled as a member of the Class of 2026 at Bridgewater College in Virginia. Brown is a graduate of Richard Montgomery High School.

Michael Kamadinata of Rockville, who is majoring in engineering physics was named to Biola University's dean's list in spring 2022. Biola students are placed on the dean's list to honor those with a GPA of 3.6 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more credits and whose cumulative GPA is at least 3.2.

Micala Henderson of Rockville was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Henderson was initiated at National Intelligence University.

Isabela Hernandez of Rockville, a member of the class of 2023 at McDaniel College, Westminster, Maryland was named to the Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society. Hernandez is a student-designed French studies and political science major.

Danielle Carter of Rockville, a member of the class of 2025, is among 29 McDaniel College students inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta national honor society. The honor is bestowed on students who completed their first year at McDaniel with a 3.7 grade point average or higher.

Eliana Mannes of Rockville was a pre-production assistant stage manager and a member of the costume crew in the Hamilton College Fall Theatre production of William Shakespeare's "Measure for Measure." Mannes, a first-year student, is a graduate of Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School.
