Rockville Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Intercounty Connector

Police said a motorcyclist was killed in a crash Sunday night on the Intercounty Connector in Montgomery County.

ROCKVILLE, MD — The Maryland Transportation Authority Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Sunday in Montgomery County.

At about 4:30 p.m., MDTA Police Officers assigned to the Intercounty Connector Detachment responded to the eastbound lanes of the ICC/MD 200 near Shady Grove Road.

Officers found a Kawasaki motorcycle that was in a single-vehicle crash and a white Chevy Silverado that struck the motorcycle following the initial crash. The Chevy did not strike the driver of the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 41-year-old Rockville man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevy was not injured.
